Between my love of Mickey and A Christmas Carol (not to mention Mickey's Christmas Carol), the day I found out about this new Hallmark ornament series, I absolutely had to get it. The details on this thing are amazing. It truly is a work of art.

This is the first in what I am sure will be a long line of ornaments based on Mickey's Christmas Carol. They've started off with Mickey as Bob Cratchit. Here, he's sitting at his desk in Scrooge's counting house hard at work. But he's got a smile on his face.

What I love are all the details. You can see the grain of the wood. There are patches of gray that help sell the age and dust on the desk. We've even got a pile of books for Mickey to use to get out of his chair.

My only concern is Mickey's feather pen. They used a real feather. It looks great now, but I worry that in a couple of years it will look horrid. After all, they just give us bubble wrap to protect the ornament.

Even with that concern, I still love it. I hope the rest of the entries are this lovely and detailed.
